Struggling to choose an architect?
Choosing your architect is a big deal. This is a person who can make or break your project, so it’s not a decision to be taken lightly. Most architects offer free consultations. They may give you an hour of their time and then send you a fee proposal. You may meet a handful of architects, and then it’s decision time.
But how can you select somebody to deliver your project after just a one-hour discussion? This could be the start of a client-architect relationship spanning several years, so it’s important to pick the right person.
There is a better way: What I refer to as a ‘design workshop’.
What is a Design Workshop?
A design workshop is an opportunity for you to get some real insight into my approach, and to put together the bones of a scheme in a collaborative environment. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have seen first hand how I can develop a design that responds to your needs. We’ll talk about planning permission, budgets, sustainability, next steps, and anything else that might be relevant.
Afterwards, I’ll send you a copy of the sketches and ideas we’ve produced together. There is no further financial commitment; no additional license fees if you want to change to a different architect. Just a simple, straight-forward opportunity to get some useful advice, develop a design proposal for your project, and then make your mind up about what you want to do next.
I offer two options. If you’re unsure about which is going to be best for you, give me a call. We can talk it through.
